UV-C Devices & / Water Clarifiers - To choose a UV-C device suitable for your pool, you will need to take into account 3W/M³ of water minimum.
In combination with the biomechanical filter, it is the miracle device against green water. It emits ultraviolet (UVC) rays that burn the suspended single-celled algae responsible for green water. These dead single-celled algae are then retained in the filter. For a guarantee of clear and limpid water, in a well-balanced pond with koi, a power of +/- 4 Watt per m3 of water is required.
UV devices are to be placed outside a pool. Most often between the pump and the filtration system. UV maintenance is simple, the lamp must be changed approximately once a year because it must operate 24 hours a day at the same time as the filter and the pump.
The lamp loses its efficiency over time (30-40% per year), the radiation is increasingly weak, even if the bluish glow remains. We recommend bringing the UV inside and keeping it frost-free during the winter to avoid any risk of breakage.
